Zhu has been a member of the Refratechnik family in the Zibo plant in China for 8 years. Her work is characterized by precision, a sense for responsibility, and a deep passion for teamwork. Every day, Zhu ensures that our refractory bricks are produced from high-grade raw materials – products that are indispensible in high-temperature processes worldwide.
Her main tasks include the receipt, weighing, and careful mixing of the raw materials. She ensures that every mixture complies exactly with the specifications. Hereby, her diligence is the basis for our high quality. The mixed raw materials are then transported to the press, where they are pressed into shape by skilled workers and subsequently fired in a kiln. The results are high-grade refractory bricks from Refratechnik. Therefore, Zhu is a key employee in the production process, who ensures the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing and value-added chain right from the start.
But for Zhu, her activity with Refratechnik is much more than just a job. In particular, she appreciates the working atmosphere, which is characterized by collegiality and mutual respect. The support from her superiors and the cooperation with her colleagues motivate her again every day.
My wish for the future is that even more women become part of our Refratechnik family. Together we can achieve very much.
In addition to her daily work, Zhu also keeps the future in sight. Her wish is that more women get started in technical careers and become part of the Refratechnik family. From own experience, Zhu also knows how important diversity and cooperation are when developing new solutions and dealing with new challenges. She is convinced that women can and should make significant contributions in our industry.
The Zibo plant, in which Zhu works, is one of Refratechnik’s most modern sites. With an annual production capacity of 40.000 tons of chrome-free, basic refractory bricks and 15.000 tons of refractory castables, it is a central element for our company’s worldwide success. Hereby, sustainability plays a decisive role: Modern technologies and the use of alternative fuels not only make the factory efficient, but also eco-friendly. And for Zhu, the values of innovation and responsibility are particularly important.
